About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Journeyman Industrial Electrician for a Fiber ILA new-construction project. The electrician will initially be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing an electrical disconnect and will then remain on the project to assist with the electrical build-out and completion of the facility. The ideal candidate has strong industrial or commercial new-construction experience and is comfortable working independently to troubleshoot electrical issues as well as performing installation work from rough-in through final completion.

Requirements

  • Current Journeyman Electrician license required.
  • Previous industrial electrical or large commercial new-construction experience required.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working with disconnects, panels, transformers, feeders, and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Proficient in conduit installation and bending.
  • Experience pulling and terminating electrical conductors.
  • Ability to read electrical prints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to use multimeters and other electrical testing equipment.
  • Must have appropriate hand tools and electrical trade tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must consistently follow electrical safety, LOTO, and site-specific safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair an existing electrical disconnect and associated electrical components.
  • Verify proper operation and code compliance following the disconnect repair.
  • Perform electrical installation for the remainder of the new-construction building build-out.
  • Install and terminate electrical panels, disconnects, transformers, breakers, and related equipment.
  • Install and bend EMT and rigid conduit as required.
  • Pull, route, and terminate branch circuit and feeder wiring.
  • Install electrical raceways, boxes, supports, and associated hardware.
  • Perform equipment connections and electrical terminations.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and construction plans.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and correct installation or equipment issues encountered during construction.
  • Perform electrical testing and verify proper voltage, continuity, grounding, and system operation.
  • Coordinate electrical work with other trades and site supervision.
  • Complete work in accordance with the NEC, project specifications, and applicable local codes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all project safety requirements.
  • Assist with electrical punch-list items, testing, startup, and final project completion as needed.
