Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a hands-on Industrial Hygienist to support workplace health and safety across our processing operations. This role partners closely with operations and leadership to identify, evaluate, and control occupational health risks while strengthening a proactive safety culture in a dynamic plant environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental or Occupational Health, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Three or more years of experience in manufacturing, recycling, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and EPA standards
  • Experience with industrial hygiene sampling equipment and data interpretation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a plant environment
  • Must meet ITAR and NAID eligibility requirements
  • Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment drug testing

Nice To Haves

  • CIH certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Lead air quality, noise, chemical, dust, and ergonomic monitoring programs
  • Conduct exposure assessments and recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE controls
  • Evaluate ventilation and air handling systems to improve workplace conditions
  • Support respiratory protection, chemical hygiene, and hearing conservation programs
  • Track exposure data, analyze trends, and provide clear recommendations to leadership
  • Deliver training that strengthens safe work practices across departments
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and EHS to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with external consultants, laboratories, and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Support medical surveillance and other occupational health initiatives
