About The Position

HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking an Industrial Hygienist who conducts public health duties and assignments for the HES Department under minimal supervision. May direct or lead the work of others from time-to-time.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of public health and industrial hygiene and be able to apply this knowledge as it pertains to the company.
Ability to effectively communicate with others
Intermediate reading and writing
An ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations.
Ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential
Valid state driver’s license and proof of insurances required

Nice To Haves

Special training in emergency response/Hazmat
Certification in radiation safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifies, evaluates, measures and controls employee hazards in the refinery
Updates programs and policies periodically and ensures that there are constant evaluations for areas of improvement and change
Works with exposure assessment for all employees and contractors
Prepares entry and hot work permits
Serves as a radiation safety director, asbestos coordinator, and incident safety officer
Serves in the respiratory protection program, hearing protection program
Provides training to new hires
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
