Level 2 Industrial Hygiene Environmental Field Technician / Consultant (Asbestos, Mold, Lead) - Dallas, Texas
About The Position
MSE Environmental is a growing full-service environmental consulting firm seeking a Level 2 Industrial Hygiene Environmental Field Technician / Consultant (Asbestos, Mold, Lead) professional. The successful candidate will enjoy conducting a variety of field and office tasks in support of mold, asbestos, legionella, water damage consulting, lead consulting, indoor air quality assessment, environmental site assessment, and site characterization projects. Tasks may include collection of field data, sample collection, abatement monitoring and oversight, research and review of regulatory records, directing subcontractors, data evaluation, technical report preparation, and project management. We are seeking individuals desiring long-term career opportunities. The position includes excellent mentoring and training opportunities and the opportunity to learn or participate in other aspects of environmental consulting.
Requirements
- Speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Previous asbestos, lead and mold consulting experience is required.
- Ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a POSITIVE attitude, good organizational skills, a strong work ethic, GREAT customer service and be reliable.
- Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Current AHERA Building Inspector and Contractor/Supervisor Certification (Required)
- Current Texas Asbestos Inspector License (Required)
- Current Texas Air Monitoring Technician (Required)
- Current Texas Mold Assessment Technician or Consultant (Required)
- Valid State Driver's License, auto insurance and reliable vehicle for transportation (Required)
- A Good driving record with no points (Required)
- At least 3 year as an Industrial Hygienist or Environmental Technician preferred (Required)
- Literacy in Google Sheets, Docs, Windows 10, Google Searches, Gmail, SmartPhone technology
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- 21 years of age and older
- Must live within daily driving distance of the office
Nice To Haves
- OSHA Hazwoper certificate
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat are pluses.
- OSHA 10/30 or HAZWOPER training is plus (Will Train)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related science field is a plus (Preferred, not required)
- Current Texas Lead Risk Inspector or Risk Assessor Certification (Not Required but a plus)
- NIOSH 582 Certification a plus (Not Required but a plus)
Responsibilities
- Conduct microbial, lead, asbestos, soot, water, water damage consulting and industrial hygiene inspection and sampling
- Prepare inspection on-site field notes and reports based on the inspection findings.
- Conduct asbestos and lead abatement oversight.
- Technicians drive to job sites daily and travel for work 100% of the time.
- Able to use mobile devices and laptops with speed and high tech abilities.
- Perform various duties, including, administrative tasks, errands, field tech support
- Respond and learn quickly.
- Follow and live by the MSE Environmental Foundations of our Brand (On website)
- Other related duties as assigned.
