About The Position

The Industrial Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising industrial crews performing process piping, utility piping, equipment installation, welding operations, and related industrial construction activities. This role serves as the working field leader for the crew and is responsible for coordinating labor, equipment, safety, production, and quality on industrial construction projects. The Industrial Foreman is expected to have advanced knowledge of industrial piping systems, mechanical construction practices, and welding operations while providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to Pipe Fitters, Welders, Operators, Laborers, and other field personnel.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of industrial construction or maintenance experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter, Welder, or lead industrial crew member preferred
  • Strong understanding of process piping systems, utility piping systems, mechanical construction practices, welding operations, and industrial project sequencing
  • Experience with stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valve and instrumentation installation, and pipe rack installation
  • Experience working in industrial environments including food processing facilities, agricultural processing facilities, and water/wastewater treatment facilities
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and construction drawings, P&ID’s, ISO drawings technical manuals, manufacturer installation instructions, weld symbols and weld procedures, and mechanical and structural drawings
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, RP Constructors procedures, and industrial construction safety practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and RP Constructors personnel
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software applications necessary to complete assigned duties
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Equipment operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise industrial crews on active construction projects
  • Coordinate daily crew activities, productivity goals, manpower needs, and equipment
  • Oversee installation of process piping systems, utility piping systems, stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valves and instrumentation, mechanical equipment, and pipe supports and pipe racks
  • Perform and oversee fitting, threading, grooving, welding coordination, and pipe layout and installation
  • Read and interpret plans, elevations, sections, details, PDS’s, P&ID’s, ISO drawings, and mechanical and structural drawings
  • Ensure piping systems and equipment installations meet project specifications, tolerances, and quality standards
  • Coordinate material staging, tooling, welding consumables, and equipment needed for daily operations
  • Conduct/Complete and enforce daily JSAs, safety meetings, hot work procedures, confined space procedures, and company safety policies
  • Monitor field productivity and maintain project schedules and labor budgets
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and owners
  • Perform routine QA/QC inspections to minimize rework and punch list items
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
  • Train and mentor Pipe Fitters, Welders, Operators, and Laborers
  • Communicate work expectations and production goals clearly to crews
  • Enforce company policies, attendance expectations, and professional conduct standards
  • Assist with deliveries, material coordination, project logistics, and scheduling needs
  • Support shutdown work, emergency repairs, and schedule-driven industrial projects when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
