About The Position

Skillforce Inc. is hiring an experienced Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician in Memphis, TN. We are looking for a well-rounded technician with strong experience in HVAC/refrigeration (including VRF systems), plumbing, and mechanical maintenance, along with hands-on expertise in copper and stainless steel piping, brazing, and soldering. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance (multi-trade preferred)
  • Strong experience with HVAC/refrigeration systems (VRF experience highly preferred)
  • Experience with copper and stainless steel piping, including brazing and soldering
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls and mechanical equipment
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required (Universal preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation
  • Own tools and PPE

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Install, maintain, and service VRF systems, including indoor/outdoor units, piping, and controls
  • Perform start-up and commissioning of HVAC and VRF systems
  • Braze, solder, and work with copper and stainless steel piping for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems
  • Install, modify, and repair refrigerant lines, conduct leak testing, and recharge systems
  • Maintain and repair air compressors, boilers, water heaters, air handlers, and fan coil units
  • Troubleshoot electrical control systems, install wiring, and test components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Perform mechanical repairs including motors, bearings, belts, and filter replacements
  • Fabricate minor sheet metal and ductwork as needed
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and system performance checks
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inventory, and equipment performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and manufacturer specifications
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and facility managers
