Requirements

  • 2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent military training / manufacturing work experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in chemical operations or manufacturing
  • 8-10 years related work experience- manufacturing or operations.
  • mechanical inclination, ability to troubleshoot system equipment, good communication, attentive to detail, collaborative.
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cultural leadership by exemplifying core values
  • Coordinate/Plan/Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements
  • Contractor management
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians and be directly involved in SOP development and training
  • Support root cause investigations and implementation of solutions
  • Technical expert and primary focus on chemical systems, slurry systems, chemical dilutions, batch creations. Responsible for drum, tote chemical changes and offloading of bulk chemical systems.
  • Working knowledge of filtration, assay concentrations, titrations, pH, %Solids, conductivity
  • Unloading and receipt of chemical deliveries, storage of chemicals, review of certificate of analysis
  • Develop annual plans for activities within equipment area as well as capital planning
  • Ensure site uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Management of chemical inventory, FIFO
  • Hazardous waste handling
  • Resist cannister changes
  • Maintain supply and quality parameters of chemical and slurry distributions.
  • Maintain equipment uptime through maintenance activities and troubleshooting of system equipment which include valves, filters, piping, pressure vacuum vessels, pumps, instrumentation and other components.
  • Ability to operate system equipment via HMI for batch creation and - or distribution.
  • Ability to monitor and operate HVAC equipment and respond to key equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, and chillers which are critical for clean room operations.
  • Other key equipment: scrubber systems, fire system, vacuum, compressed air
  • Operate the DI water plant
  • Perform system rounds and rotate equipment
  • Work within defined technical processes and procedures.
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvements.
  • Uphold area upkeep and 5S principles.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery including forklift, pallet jack
  • Collaborate cross departmentally, escalate as required.
  • Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Record keeping, reporting, as required.
