About The Position

AeroSpec, Inc. is hiring a paid, year-round Industrial Engineering Intern to support Visual Management, operations, and quality activities. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers, quality specialists, and manufacturing professionals at a company that designs and builds custom manufacturing equipment and automated systems. A central focus is using visual tools, daily team meetings, and performance tracking to make priorities, progress, and problems visible and help teams stay coordinated and take timely action. The intern will help maintain visual management boards, prepare for and conduct daily stand-up meetings, monitor workflow and commitments, follow up on overdue activities, and develop or improve visual tools such as schedules, performance charts, checklists, and dashboards. The role also supports quality tracking and records, coordination of parts and documentation through inspection, and the movement of materials, machined parts, and work orders through the company. The intern will collaborate across operations, quality, production, and engineering to identify delays and improve communication and workflow. This internship is designed to complement an engineering education and provide professional development over multiple years. During the school year, the role is part-time for a minimum of 20–24 hours per week. In summer, it may be part-time or full-time depending on availability and company needs. The position is primarily on-site and reports to the Quality Manager.
