This internship offers hands-on experience in process optimization, digital manufacturing technologies, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic production environment. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient in working independently and contributing meaningfully to team efforts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Lean principles or process improvement concepts is a plus
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Ignition platform
  • Experience with LSS principles
  • Experience with creation of work instructions
  • Familiarity with marine and/or RV products in professional or recreational environment
  • Experience with new product development cycles
  • Shop/bench fabrication and/or assembly skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data collection and analysis for Lean and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Participate in LSS events and help document process changes
  • Support the development of visual management tools and standard work documentation
  • Contribute to research and implementation of automation and smart manufacturing technologies
  • Assist in evaluating production workflows and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on pilot projects and technology trials
  • Create and refine work instructions for production floor
  • Provide production support daily
  • Participate/lead in design and pilot builds
  • Assist/lead in continuous improvement opportunities
  • Propose, specify, and design tooling/fixturing to facilitate manufacturing
  • Achieve Brunswick Continuous Improvement Yellow Belt certification
  • Conduct time studies and perform line balancing and takt time analyses to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements within warehouse operations to increase on-time delivery and improve workflow reliability

Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour.
