Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
  • Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
  • Majoring in one of the following: Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Management, or other closely related engineering fields
  • The ability to relocate and work onsite

Responsibilities

  • Industrial Engineering interns support Tulsa production operations by analyzing and improving the integration of people, equipment, materials, facilities, and processes.
  • Interns work with manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, capacity, flow, standard work, and production readiness through data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving.
  • Analyze production flow, staffing, schedules, capacity, and constraints.
  • Develop process, layout, standard-work, and efficiency improvements.
  • Support ergonomic and safety improvements.
  • Use operational data to identify trends, risks, and recovery actions.
