This Industrial Engineering Intern position is within the Clean Mobility Division at the manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH. The intern will assist the Production Controls and Logistics Manager with inventory management, freight control, internal auditing, and cost-saving projects.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a supply chain, logistics, STEM, Mathematics, Physics or industrial engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program or equivalent
  • Flexibility and understanding that process changes may be needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • A positive attitude and optimistic mindset
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP

  • Junior, Senior or Masters status preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of Industrial Engineering related projects
  • Perform Inventory Management
  • Conduct Plant JNI (Just Needed Inventory) analysis to determine if current inventory parameters are correct or can be improved
  • Perform Packaging Optimization
  • Conduct Pack Density study & right sizing components to tote/containers
  • Ensure Inventory accuracy
  • Perform SAP master data study
  • Conduct Shopfloor accuracy analysis
  • Work on Cost savings project(s)
  • Execute Freight Savings Project
  • Analyze fill rate of containers and packaging
