About The Position

This role is for Industrial Engineering services in the Manufacturing area. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with at least two years of experience in the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Industry. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required. The position operates on an administrative shift, adaptable to business needs. Key responsibilities include designing manufacturing line layouts, performing capacity and bottleneck analysis, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles. The role also involves analyzing and designing workflows to enhance efficiency, establishing methods to maximize resource utilization, and contributing to accident prevention measures and personnel training. Additionally, the engineer will conduct studies on cost control, inventory management, and production records, and develop plans for facility modifications and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Two (2) years of exposure within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Experience in Manufacturing Line layout design (and AutoCAD)
  • Experience in Capacity, Throughput & Bottleneck Analysis
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing & Waste Elimination

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design a sequence of operations and workflows to improve efficiency in plant and production facilities, and in equipment layouts.
  • Establish methods to maximize the utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
