This is a defense technology company headquartered in Austin, TX, building autonomous surface vessels for the U.S. Navy and allied forces. The company entered production in February 2025 and is actively scaling its production capacity across multiple vessel programs. This role sits within the Manufacturing Engineering team under the Production umbrella and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The purpose of this role is to enhance manufacturing capacity and efficiency during a period of significant growth. This role is crucial for identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, optimizing facility layouts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across an evolving factory environment. The ideal candidate thrives on the shop floor, translating strategic goals into tangible operational improvements. This is specifically not a supply chain, scheduling, or dashboarding role — candidates whose IE experience has been primarily desk or systems-based are not the right fit. This needs to be a production-based role.
