About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Entry Level Industrial Engineers to support the Executive Fleet program in San Antonio, TX. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply Industrial Engineering concepts to develop operating plans and recovery plans, conduct capacity and constraint-based analysis, develop and refine precedence networks, and conduct overall process effectiveness studies. You will also have opportunities to develop, implement, and improve processes focused on lowering costs and improving schedule performance and quality. Candidates must be able to operate within a multi-functional team, coordinating with various departments. This position will be 100% onsite at the San Antonio, TX location. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Able to walk, stand, and enter aircraft via steps or ladders.
Intermediate excel knowledge.
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Aircraft / Aerospace industry experience.
Experience with 3D Computer aided design tools such as IVT.
Experience with Boeing standard scheduling tools such as Aurora.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
Experience conducting/leading Time studies and reporting out to leadership.

Responsibilities

Develops Operating plans and Recovery plans as needed.
Learn and support utilization and development of models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, trend and production impacts).
Improves processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
Develops solutions to routine technical problems.
Collaborates cross functionally to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing, documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases.
Schedules work plans, conducts data analysis (historical, trends and production impacts), staffing and process improvements.
