About The Position

The Industrial Engineer leads the development and improvement of manufacturing systems to improve safety, productivity, cost, throughput, quality, and flow efficiency. This role drives operational excellence through data-driven analysis, Lean methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and long-term manufacturing growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience leading complex manufacturing, material flow, or facility optimization initiatives in dynamic or high-volume production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable operational improvements through Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and systems optimization.
  • Experience using CAD tools to develop and evaluate facility layouts and material flow concepts.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support data-driven decision making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using production simulation software preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills; SQL experience is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and optimization of manufacturing systems (layouts, workflows, material flow) to improve throughput, capacity utilization, lead time, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive improvements in safety, productivity, and flow efficiency through data-driven analysis, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve material flow, cycle time, and WIP reduction.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs, improve resource utilization, and deliver measurable productivity improvements.
  • Conduct advanced analysis including time studies, capacity modeling, and simulation to optimize system performance and scalability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance, quality outcomes, and process capability through process optimization.
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives, tracking KPI impact across safety, quality, cost, productivity, and cycle time.
  • Develop capacity models and resource plans to align demand, production capability, and utilization.
  • Support the launch of new products by ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and alignment with engineering guidelines.
  • Leverage ERP systems, operational analytics, and data visualization tools to support data-driven decision making and sustained performance improvement.
  • Establish and standardize engineering best practices, design guidelines, and continuous improvement frameworks.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans along with flexible spending accounts, short-term and long-term disability benefits, critical illness, accident insurance and life insurance.
  • A 401(k) retirement plan and an employee stock purchase plan — both include a company match.
  • Tuition reimbursement, caregiver, personal and parental leave, back-up care services, paid time off including volunteer time, a well-being program, and/or legal & identity theft protection.
