About The Position

Lead and support technology-driven process improvement initiatives by evaluating, testing, and implementing digital solutions that increase operational efficiency, strengthen data visibility, and improve business performance. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Altamira, San Juan, P.R. Popular is committed to developing and providing growth opportunities for its employees and fostering internal mobility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • At least two (2) years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation, systems implementation, and/or technology projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of process improvement and digital transformation methodologies such as design thinking, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, customer journey mapping, analytics, and process automation.
  • Capability to build effective cross-functional teams and foster collaboration between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Communication and Collaboration skillset.

  • Project management skills with the ability to coordinate technology initiatives, manage timelines, and support implementation milestones.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Tools, such as Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English/Spanish language.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and lead technology-enabled initiatives that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and business unit profitability.
  • Partner with business and technology teams, including systems, data, and IT stakeholders, to translate operational needs into technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end process discovery and mapping, documenting current and future state workflows to support system implementations, digital transformation, and automation initiatives.
  • Design and implement standardized digital workflows and operating procedures as a foundation for continuous improvement and technology adoption.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and secure leadership support for technology projects, process redesign efforts, and digital change initiatives.
  • Design and implement process governance tools, including RACIs, requirements documentation, and workflow ownership models for technology-enabled processes.
  • Support technology project planning by coordinating resources, managing priorities, and tracking delivery timelines across multiple initiatives.
  • Define and implement KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and performance management routines to monitor system performance, process outcomes, and project impact.
  • Monitor project execution, identify implementation risks, and remove roadblocks affecting technology deployments, process improvements, and transformation goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through technology and transformation projects to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and measurable business results.
  • Provide expertise in process improvement, digital transformation, and continuous improvement methodologies while coaching teams on technology-enabled ways of working.
