Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in planning facility, equipment, material, and personnel utilization.
  • Proficiency in time studies and production capacity analysis.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, including production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules.
  • Strong understanding of work measurement programs and labor utilization standards.
  • Experience in developing management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to confer with management and engineering staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art manufacturing plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the needed staffing levels, the operators’ utilization based on time studies, and production capacities for their designated department.
  • Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
  • Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
  • Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
