About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Full-time Early Career Industrial Engineer. In this role, you will effectively apply Industrial Engineering concepts and techniques to analyze processes and reduce waste. This is an early-career opportunity where you will load and schedule requirements in a high volume / high mix production environment, provide direct shop floor support including creation of plans, burn down charts, and performance metrics to optimize production, implement improvements to facilitate new, streamlined processes, interface with senior leadership, program management, technical SME lead, and functional leadership to drive tasks to completion, and develop and monitor changes to production workflow, manpower changes, or changes to the schedule. Flexibility to work a non-standard work week include 1-2 Sundays per month.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Working knowledge of work measurement techniques, time standards, and productivity/performance management
  • Experience with capacity analysis, cost analysis, and estimating methodologies
  • Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts and system functionalities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Basic navigation experience in SAP
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Foundational understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), including Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or similar data analytics and visualization tools
