About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Industrial Engineer (Entry or Associate level) to become part of the C-17 Engineering team in San Antonio, TX. We provide engineering design and support, including aftermarket modifications, and are innovating to make product and services safety even stronger. This position will also support the C-17 UDLM Center of Excellence as this group works to develop new teams and processes.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Knowledge of Industrial Engineering or Methods Process Analyst
Knowledge of extracting and compiling data from multiple sources
Knowledge of implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in manufacturing environment
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity
Maintains and develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows
Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
Completes workflow design and analysis
Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders
Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods
Provides product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met
Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices
Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support of moderate complexity
Reconciles compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, if required
May be requested to support additional programs as needed
