About The Position

Our Opportunity: Chewy is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Healthcare Team full-time in Plantation, FL. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and administering operational performance and progression metrics on the Healthcare team by utilizing workforce management systems and standardized workflows to ensure each component combines seamlessly for all stakeholders. Additionally, you will be managing and generating SQL-based decision support systems and forecast models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering (IISE), or related engineering field
  • 3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience or training
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proficient and fluent in working with web-based environments and in Systems of Systems
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Visio, MS Project (or equivalent), and Word)
  • Proficient and fluent in data management – SQL, decision support systems, data science techniques
  • Must be able to pull large data sets and use data to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Proficiency in IISE BoK: Work Design and Measurement concepts
  • Proficiency in IISE BoK: Information Engineering concepts
  • Proficiency in IISE BoK: Operations Research, Engineering, and Management concepts
  • Ability to learn VBA, Python, R, simulation techniques, and process automation software
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work within a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to participate in a schedule required to support a 24x7 operation

Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex concepts to non-technical senior business stakeholders
  • Design, implement, and maintain Workforce Management Systems, documentation, and SOPs
  • Design, implement, and maintain Operational Workflows and supporting systems
  • Design, implement, and maintain Demand models and implement them into the WFM systems
  • Conduct & supervise work measurement studies as required
  • Collaborate with staff from multiple sites to identify scheduling requirements and implement them into the WFM systems
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports that provide insights and trends to support, operational activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build, develop, and maintain repeatable, accurate, and credible metrics, dashboards, and reports, which will often require leading cross-functional efforts to build alignment and standardize definitions for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), target goals, and how KPIs will be calculated, tracked, and visualized
  • Lead other Operational assignments and business objectives as directed
