About The Position

Partners with shop floor and production teams to train, troubleshoot, and gather feedback for ongoing process improvement. Leads or supports Lean/continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, quality, and cost savings. Works on process improvement projects as assigned by manager. Projects will be prioritized based on benefits derived from implementation. Reports on the status of assigned projects, in both meeting and written form, as required by supervisor. Attends classes, seminars, trade shows pertaining to the job as designated by the Facilities Maintenance Manager or by upper management. Communicates and consults with engineering, technical and manufacturing personnel. Confers with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel internally as well as outside of the company. Provides assistance as necessary to Maintenance personnel involved in maintaining production/facility equipment. Maintains records, reports, or files. Uses oral or written communication techniques. Supports the department's mission. Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Two- or four-year degree from college or technical school and three to four years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, servos, and electrical field devices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization and to train personnel.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Able to apply experience to troubleshooting process machinery.
