About The Position
PPG's Aerospace Business is hiring an Industrial Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, you will primarily model and document original designs and components using SolidWorks or similar software. Programming and troubleshooting PLC's as a secondary function, Allen Bradely primarily. You will write the original language, operate the PLC codes, and troubleshoot if and when any problems arise. You will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Manager. This is a hybrid position working 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
Requirements
- Only US Citizens, Green Card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to apply
- Bachelor's Degree in Software / Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- 4+ years of Modeling experience required
- PLC interfacing, primarily Allen Bradley
- Ability to travel if needed
Responsibilities
- Model creation and virtual testing, standardization of methodology and records across the business
- PLC code creation and troubleshooting, and instrumentation integration across the business unit
- Develop RFQs, SOW, and directly manage vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment installation
- Responsible for project documentation, including technical writing
- Select and install hardware and software as needed
