About The Position

This is a year-round internship opportunity at Tyson Foods for driven and passionate individuals. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects that drive the business forward, gaining hands-on experience, developing critical skills, and working for a company that values innovation, sustainability, and excellence. The role involves initiating and implementing solutions to control plant costs and maximize labor resource effectiveness, developing and maintaining engineering labor standards, and applying continuous improvement tools. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with automation implementation, supporting managerial decision-making through data and insights, and contributing to other business needs. The program aims to convert top-performing interns into full-time team members upon graduation.

Requirements

  • Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one year of school remaining.
  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university.
  • Students pursuing Industrial Engineering or another technical degree are required.
  • Previous work experience preferred.
  • Experience related to engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel; familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent computer skills with exposure to engineering-related systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies or discipline-specific systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness to feedback, and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must reside within 60 miles of the facility.
