About The Position

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer III to work onsite at our Colorado Springs facility. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing production systems and processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, enhance quality, and ensure safe operations. This role applies engineering principles, data analysis, and lean methodologies to support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Experience with practical application of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and time study techniques.
Experience in data analysis tools and manufacturing software (e.g., Excel, Minitab, MES).

Nice To Haves

Industrial Engineering Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation software, or ergonomic analysis tools.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Define, develop and implement processes, including equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work support our production lines and meet all applicable drawing requirements.
Evaluate and adjust manufacturing processes using time studies, workflow analysis, and data modeling.
Lead complex, cross-functional process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
Design and optimize workstation layouts, material flow, and equipment and labor utilization.
Lead Lean, CORE and Kaizen methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Conduct capacity analysis, production planning, and labor/equipment utilization studies.
Lead new product introduction by developing efficient manufacturing processes and tooling.
Develop and implement advanced production models, time standards, and data-driven insights that inform operational and capital planning decisions
Monitor safety, ergonomics, and compliance with applicable manufacturing standards.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior industrial engineers, promoting capability development and consistent application of best practices.
Perform additional duties as required.
