Requirements

  • BS Degree with 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Able to plan and implement Capital Equipment projects to identify improvement opportunities, develop an appropriate business case, and manage project execution on-time and with-in budget to deliver on business case Return on Investment (ROI) metrics
  • Able to successfully facilitate continuous improvement / Kaizen /Rapid Improvement events in a production or office setting; should have prior experience with 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Error Proofing, 1 piece Flow, Kanban, and Total Productive maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge on AutoCAD, Creating and maintaining production 2D/3D layouts
  • Knowledgeable in Manufacturing processes, construction materials and methods.
  • Proficient in MS/Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Self-starter and capable to work independently an collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and has a desire to learn new processes and technology.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of PFMEA, DFx, Six Sigma processes highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting production standards (i.e., determine allowed time value to perform specific tasks) through application of standard data or performing time study(s).
  • Conduct capacity analysis and work with manufacturing team to ensure that production processes are capable to satisfy growing client demand.
  • Collects field measurement data and creates two-dimensional facility drawings from supplied specifications with AutoCAD.
  • Partner with cross functional engineering to identify, develop, and implement opportunities to improve processes and increase productivity / output while reducing costs and improving quality.
  • Responsible for developing process sequences for production as new product(s) are released.
  • Manage process documentation (work instructions, visual aids, quality standards, etc..).
  • Promote LEAN manufacturing practices and implementation; able to multi-task and manage a portfolio of projects.
  • Responsible for reviewing and improving ergonomic practices.
  • Develop principal work standards and line balancing for productivity.
  • Optimize machining processes to reach product quality, efficiency and process repeatability.
  • Optimize workflow and cell designs and introduce cost-effective automation for productivity and safety advantages.
  • Design machine and tools for new product or process.
  • Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements.
  • Plan, execute and manage projects to complete through product continuous improvement.
  • Communicate Lean group’s philosophy, vision and expectations.
  • Develop and sustain employees training and development on lean concepts.
  • Develop measurement systems supporting lean manufacturing philosophy.
  • Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State.
  • Plan and reach expense budget objectives and capital items.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address Process/quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with QE/TE/PM to ensure alignment on quality objectives and priorities.
