This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Electrophysiology medical device division supporting both new product introduction and post market product, as well as line expansions. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. Our Plymouth location is seeking a high caliber, motivated, self-driven leader to join our manufacturing engineering team for ablation catheter manufacturing in Abbott’s Electrophysiology business unit. Individuals in this role will work on supporting the operations team working with assemblers mapping out processes, determining capacity and process issues, as well as identifying opportunities to boost productivity and bring the tools and behaviors of our operating system to the production floor with rigor. Additionally, this position will manage projects aimed towards increasing capacity and improving flow in manufacturing processes, considering tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality as well as focus to implement industrial lean principles (layout and flow optimization, SPC implementations) on new and existing processes.
