About The Position

The Industrial Engineer I uses principles of technology and engineering to eliminate wasteful and inefficient processes in a production environment. Focus on reducing costs, promoting safety, utilizing efficient materials, and saving time and energy. Responsible for analyzing processes, determining areas of improvement, communicating effectively, creating documentation, and implementing training for new procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential requirement, represents the knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Requirements

B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and /or experience
A minimum of 2 to 5 experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of relevant engineering applications
Proficient in Computer assisted design (CAD)
Analytical - Strong technical math skills to synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses experience to complement data; understands the work flows and procedures.
Technical Skills – Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.

Nice To Haves

Computer assisted design (CAD/CAM) proficiency
SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

Monitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
Designs efficient production processes and workflows.
Ensures that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.
Reduces waste and addresses production issues.
Performs technical troubleshooting including but not limited to PLC's, controls, safety devices, sensors…etc.
Evaluates data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
Fabricates parts when required
Identifies potential locations and determines facility design.
Works with other departments to develop design and production standards.
Designs facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations.
Helps to develop instruction manuals for production personnel.
Ensures that work processes are safe and addresses safety issues and concerns.
Participate in the development and promotion of the HSE culture, be exemplary in terms of health, safety and the environment, in particular by : Respecting and ensuring respect for the instructions and rules established in the field of health, safety and the environment (in particular the LISI golden rules), Immediately correcting, whenever possible, or reporting to his or her superiors and/or the HSE department, any malfunction or risky situation in the fields of health, safety and environmental protection, Implementing preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks, Participate, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope, Be familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work, Be familiar with the site's HSE policy and objectives, To be able to make proposals for improving working conditions and limiting environmental impact.
