About The Position

Cleveland Brothers has an immediate opportunity for an Industrial Engine Field Technician specializing in Electric Power Generation. This role is ideal for Automotive or Diesel Technicians looking for a career change and the chance to work with the latest tooling and diagnostic equipment. The company provides necessary training and specialty tools. The primary focus is to provide Industrial Engine and Electric Power Generation service to customers, requiring the successful candidate to diagnose, repair, and complete technical startups of diesel and gas engines. After-hours and weekend assignments are often required to meet customer demands and repair schedules. The candidate will report to the branch Industrial Engine Shop and will be dispatched for field work when available, otherwise working in the shop facility. The position also includes being on the Industrial Engine on-call rotation.

Requirements

Appropriate training and relevant work experience on industrial engines
Ability to diagnose, repair, and complete technical startup of diesel and gas engines
Meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements
Maintain tool requirements

Responsibilities

Independently diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel, gas, and marine engines
Perform work on generators and component parts in various environmental and working conditions
Safely assemble and disassemble equipment and component parts according to the manufacturer's specifications
Repair and maintain temperature control and air compression equipment
Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders
Meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law
Work overtime as required
Maintain tool requirements
