About The Position

The Industrial Electromechanical Reliability Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within an assigned territory through consistent face-to-face interaction, proactive account management, and solution-based selling. This role serves industrial and commercial customers by identifying operational challenges and coordinating electrical, mechanical, automation, motor repair, air compressor, controls, and reliability solutions that improve uptime, efficiency, and long-term performance. The Sales Representative will travel designated sales routes three days per week and spend the remaining workdays focused on route planning, customer follow-up, prospecting, meeting coordination, proposal development, and CRM documentation. Regular travel throughout West Texas and surrounding areas, including day travel and overnight stays up to 200 miles from Lubbock, is regularly required.

Requirements

  • Previous outside sales, industrial sales, electrical, mechanical, or technical service experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage territory schedules, travel routes, and multiple customer relationships effectively.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to maintain CRM records and digital communication.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned territory, including day travel up to 200 miles from Lubbock and overnight stays for longer sales routes.
  • Ability to take customer calls and coordinate emergency service after hours

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory and target industries.
  • Prospect these opportunities through direct marketing, cold calls, referrals, networking, and route-based visits.
  • Develop solution-based relationships with maintenance managers, plant managers, operations personnel, engineers, company executives, and business owners.
  • Conduct regular in-person customer visits throughout assigned territory according to established sales routes and schedules.

  • Match company offerings with customer challenges and create meaningful, value-driven customer presentations.

  • Follow up on quotations, proposals, and open opportunities to support successful project conversion.
  • Maintain current documentation of customer names, positions, and preferences in the company’s CRM system.
  • Track customer interactions and the results of those interactions in the CRM.
  • Maintain current list of business opportunities, from concept to close, in the company’s CRM system.
  • Submit required reports, schedules, and updates in accordance with company expectations.
  • Work closely with the executive team, inside sales, project managers, and department leadership to support customer needs.
  • Communicate customer concerns, project updates, and service requirements to appropriate internal teams.
  • Participate in sales meetings, operational meetings, and company training initiatives.
