About The Position

The Industrial Electrician plays a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment in a fast‑paced production environment. This role is ideal for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex industrial systems and taking ownership of equipment reliability. New hires will complete an initial training period on day shift to become familiar with our facility, safety practices, and industrial equipment before transitioning to the assigned swing shift schedule. You will work hands‑on with conduit, wiring, control components, and lighting systems, diagnose electrical issues up to and including 600 volts, and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime. This role also supports lighting circuits, motion sensors, photo eyes, and switches, while working closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure reliable performance across the facility. This position requires schedule flexibility, including the ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, call‑ins, and overtime as needed to support production demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete formal training, such as electrical apprenticeships, trade school, or other combination of electric working knowledge and education may be considered.
  • Proven experience as an electrician.
  • Working knowledge in use of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Experience with reading electrical drawings and schematics
  • Troubleshooting experience, including the use of necessary test instruments such as digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, megger, etc.
  • Working knowledge of MS Spreadsheet and Word, record keeping and documentation
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of OHSA safety rules and regulations including NEC and NFPA70E (including LOTO and Arc Flash, a plus)
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, and basic knowledge of industrial maintenance issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in the in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Technology
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm and protection systems
  • Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
  • Excellent skills in root cause analysis
  • Previous experience in Rockwell Software RSLogix5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio (Editor, Me, and SE), AB PowerFlex VFD’s and Kinetics Servos, and Ethernet IP networks using AP Stratix switches, Yaskawa AC drives and servo drives, and Lense motion control drives, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes. Ensuring the safety protocols are followed.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of machines, equipment, and other electrical systems in the facility.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic industrial equipment.
  • Repair and PM electrical machinery; this may include, but is not limited to, such equipment as AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyors and instrumentation and PLC controls
  • During downtime situations, analyze the cause of breakdown with equipment
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment

  • Performs other duties as assigned
