About The Position

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join their safety-conscious team! The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within an industrial work environment, including troubleshooting/diagnosing electrical problems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid electrician license or certification
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
  • Proven track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing electrical problems.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial/plant equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs and VFD’s) and other advanced electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within an industrial setting, including motors, transformers, generators, and lighting systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment and hand tools as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and address electrical issues that may impact production or safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.
