About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Industrial Electricians for our Dierks, AR Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. The entry level starting rate of pay starts at a minimum of $23.31 depending on experience. This vacancy will be assigned evening/overnight hours with a weekend & overnight pay premium.

Requirements

  • All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Full knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Must be proficient in the programming, installation, and troubleshooting of all PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Experienced in all phases of plant electrical equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, 3-Phase 480 Volt AC motors and starters, 24 Volt DC and 120 Volt AC control circuits.
  • Knowledge of closed loop process control systems.
  • Must have Microsoft Office skills.
  • Steady, documented work history.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Physical ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check to be eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer five (5) years of electrical maintenance work experience and/or educational history.
  • Prefer knowledge of SAP maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation and repair of electrical machinery and instrumentation of controls throughout the plant while maintaining NFPA70E electrical safety standards.
  • Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, variable frequency drives and PLCs in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
  • Repair of electrical tools and equipment including power tools and test equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting on AC and DC motors, drives, and control systems.
  • PM as required on other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).
  • Calibrate instruments, sensors, chart recorders, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with all distributed discrete microprocessor-based systems within the plant.
  • Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment.
