About The Position

Cargill's protein and salt business is seeking an Industrial Electrician for their facility in Lake Odessa, MI. This full-time role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and components within the facility. The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a sign-on bonus and relocation bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Electrician License in Michigan and experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the state of Michigan
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience

Nice To Haves

• Able to effectively use typical industrial maintenance test and calibration equipment
• Experience with reading blueprints and other technical diagrams

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts and aerial lifts as needed
• Interact regularly with external vendors, peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a collaboration focused environment
• Document completed work and conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software
• Interpret and understand electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints and operation manuals
• Install and troubleshoot wiring system layouts and circuit routing
• Install, maintain, test, evaluate and repair various electrical components and systems including either low voltage automation systems or medium voltage motor control circuits
• Complete preventative, predictive and reactive industrial electrical work throughout the facility while operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools
• Availability to work outside of normal shift up to including weekend and off shift hours as needed
• Other duties as assigned
