About The Position
The Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA Bunge grain elevator. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge’s employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Industrial electrical experience (3 + years preferred)
- Working knowledge of thermography
- Knowledge of and ability to follow NFPA70E guidelines
- TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Good written/verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree and/or technical certification
- PLC experience
- HVAC experience
- Knowledge of Studio 5000 programming software and Wonderware
Responsibilities
- Plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 4160VAC or less)
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
- Perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
- Follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
- Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
- Maintain electrical switchgear
- Other duties as assigned
