Requirements

Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - 442A or Construction Electrician - 309A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario is required.
Must be able to work rotating shifts.
All successful candidates must pass a post-offer medical and ergonomic assessment.
Background, education, and criminal record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, low/medium/high voltage systems.
Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work to be done.
Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage on computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), work orders, logbooks, and checklists.
Perform rounds and checks machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, tow motor operation including rigging.
Demonstrate basic computer skills.
