About The Position

Tuscan Dairy Farms is looking for a facility maintenance team member to perform electrical maintenance tasks on plant utility and process infrastructure. This role involves installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, electrical components, and electronic components of machinery and equipment, adhering to electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. The position requires working with a limited degree of supervision, completing complex problems, and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues, functioning as a subject matter expert. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 to 6 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Automation system maintenance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment
  • Considerable knowledge and application of national, state, local building codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations pertaining to electrical work
  • Able to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance activities
  • Able to use ladders and scaffolding in a safe, efficient manner
  • Able to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from trade school or technical school in a related discipline
  • Certification and/or License – Electrician journeyman license or other location specific electrician license
  • Master electrician preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs electrical maintenance tasks on plant utility and process infrastructure.

  • Functions as the go-to subject matter resource for colleagues.
  • Inspects equipment, recognizes potential problems, and takes appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.
  • Performs complex or complicated electrical activities/repairs independently.
  • Completes projects from planning to installation.
  • Presents options and ideas to current processes or procedures.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Performs calculations in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reads, writes, and speaks English.
