Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Proficiency in producing electrical schematic drawings
  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
  • Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion

  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Very good knowledge and understanding basis and advanced control’s components like PLC, panel and field I/O modules, VFDs, servo systems etc.
  • Understanding of safety circuits and requirements including networked safety
  • Familiar with controls networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCat, I/O link, ASi …)
  • Understanding of electrical code, components and wire sizing etc.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 all Johnson Electric policies and any other industry standards in all activities
  • Provide design, production and documentation developments for electrical power and distribution systems, controls and machine safety
  • Create & maintain documentation for new and existing assembly lines
  • Creating and updating electrical schematics for new and current projects
  • Component selection and sizing
  • Safety diagrams design
  • Panel and machine layout
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design
  • Designing and documenting electrical automation systems
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work with suppliers to specify proper components
  • Create, modify and maintain electrical build standards
  • Support machine build activities
  • Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits
  • Work in close conjunction with controls technicians during setup and development of PLC, robots and vision systems
  • Perform other related duties as required
