This role involves installing and modifying electrical machinery, equipment, and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants. The electrician must be proficient in 3-phase electrical systems up to 480 volts or more, work with variable drives, read electrical schematics, and operate conventional gas ovens. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and machine malfunctions, collaborating with electrical engineers on developmental problems, and working with programmable logic/automation controls to ensure all electrical components adhere to standards. Mechanical experience is preferred for maintaining machinery and equipment, including presses, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. The role also requires managing electrical controls, circuits, high voltage distribution, panels, and understanding crane operation principles. Additionally, the electrician will determine dimensional requirements of parts, maintain continuity among work teams through documentation, and ensure machinery and mechanical equipment are operational for production and quality. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate leadership in upholding safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
