About The Position

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. The plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. You will be creating high quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE, using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility. You will be working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it. You will be CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunity. This role involves working safely while resolving equipment issues, troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment and control systems, and designing and laying out circuits, installing fixtures, wiring motors and other electrical equipment/components. You will also be troubleshooting various electrical equipment (AC/DC drives, motors and controls) using standard test equipment, maintaining and updating electrical documentation (redlines, print books, manuals), identifying mechanical issues, and providing technical support for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications. Additionally, you will participate in Root Cause Analysis to help prevent recurrence of equipment failures, perform both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance, participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance, and assist in training new employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • 3-5 years of related industrial electrical experience
  • Knowledge of the ControlLogix PLCs
  • Ability keep yourself and others safe around 480VAC
  • Understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and how they are used in a control system
  • Ability to install conduit, wiring, and electrical components
  • Ability to build and install an electrical cabinet and associate components
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
  • Must possess the ability to use various electrical test equipment for troubleshooting purposes
  • Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
  • Need to be able to work in a tobacco-free environment
