Gerdau Steel is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join their team in Petersburg, VA. This role offers the stability of a global manufacturer, with a schedule that provides half the month off. Electricians can expect a base pay of $36.73/hour plus production bonuses, shift premiums, and scheduled overtime, leading to a six-figure earning potential. Requirements
- Electrical troubleshooting experience in industrial maintenance, service, commercial, manufacturing, or military environments
- Knowledge of motor controls and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour DuPont schedule (days and nights)
Nice To Haves
- PLC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and controls
- Maintain cranes, pumps, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Support production through hands-on electrical troubleshooting
