Electrician- Hudson Bay
About The Position
Our OSB facility in Hudson Bay, SK has an immediate opportunity for a skilled Industrial Electrician with a thorough comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment, to join our Team. The Industrial Electrician will have a total commitment to safety and efficient electrical/maintenance practices. The successful candidate must have excellent work history, be able to work independently, and work rotating shifts. The candidate will be required to take a pre-employment electrical assessment.
Requirements
- Red Seal certification.
- Ability or willingness to learn troubleshooting duties with the use of control logix 5000.
- Basic knowledge of computers (Windows).
Nice To Haves
- Dual ticketed instrumentation as second ticket.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, PLC’s, AC & DC drives.
- Experience following CSA Z462 and NFA 70E standards.
- Experience with mechanical operations such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of the NEC.
Responsibilities
- Safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment.
- Commitment to safety and efficient electrical/maintenance practices.
- Work independently.
- Work rotating shifts.
- Take a pre-employment electrical assessment.
- Wear all required PPE and able to fit test and wear a respirator.
- Work at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs and work in an environment containing wood dust and extreme heat and cold.
- Troubleshoot using blueprints, schematics, computers and appropriate test equipment.
