This role is responsible for responding to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner, working closely with area operators to resolve maintenance-related issues. The position involves investigating the root cause of equipment failure, making recommendations for long-term fixes, and helping to develop Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans in collaboration with Planners. The Industrial Electrician will lead troubleshooting efforts, ensure proper documentation in the maintenance logbook, and manage the RIP (Reliability Improvement Program) process for downtime, communicating updates prior to the end of the shift. The role requires completing assigned work orders and PM activities based on established priorities, providing recommendations for improving troubleshooting resources, and being aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill. There is a possibility to lead projects from start to finish, including consulting with manufacturers, obtaining quotes, making purchase requests, developing job plans and timelines, installation, commissioning, updating prints, developing PMs, and creating training manuals. The position also supports the crew in operate/maintain activities during emergencies or short staffing and requires participation in maintenance and functional meetings/training sessions.
