About The Position

Emtech is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of advanced automation, robotics, and industrial electrical systems. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, controls specialists, and field technicians to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent documented electrical experience.
  • 3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, automation, or commercial electrical experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuits, motors, controls, and power distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in elevated locations for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial automation or robotics systems.
  • Experience working in distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, or construction environments.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial networking.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Lift, aerial work platform, or forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Install conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical components in industrial and commercial environments.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics on automation, robotics, controls, and power distribution systems.
  • Support startup, testing, commissioning, and validation activities.
  • Work alongside controls engineers and automation technicians to integrate electrical and control systems.
  • Conduct inspections and verify installations meet applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and project records accurately and on time.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
  • Follow all company, customer, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout North America and occasionally internationally as required.
