Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Industrial Supervisor, performs various tasks related to the layout and installation of various industrial electrical systems. Essential: Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures. Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company. Provides 24-hour on-call, rotating shift, and assists other technicians during their scheduled on-call rotation. Works from construction drawings (i.e., electrical, mechanical, architectural, etc.) to install branch power, lighting and distribution systems. Troubleshoots electrical problems utilizing appropriate test equipment. Conducts appropriate on-the-job training of apprentices. Safeguards and maintains Company equipment, material, tools and vehicles. Collaborates with subcontractors and outside services to ensure Tri-M policies and procedures are followed. Ensures and understands hazardous environments and ensure all protocol is followed and SDS. Installs PLC, motor controls, cable and cable trays within classified areas. Operates multi-meters, voltage meters, rotation meters and meggers on various projects. Requisitions materials. Administers small projects as assigned.
