About The Position

Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery, equipment, and building systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work with various electrical components and systems in a manufacturing environment. The position also involves collaboration with other maintenance personnel and adherence to food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must know NEC Codes.
  • Ability to bend and install diverse types of conduits.
  • Properly size wire and conduit size, install and terminate wire based on distance and FLA on connecting components.
  • Experience with 24V -480V Power.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all facility, grounds, and industrial power and electrical systems (low and high voltage).
  • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Diagnose electric motor, motor control, and device control problems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair sensors and solid state equipment.
  • Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints.
  • Capable of communicating both oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery, and reviews diagnosis for proper corrective action with other maintenance workers.
  • Ensures plant compliance with NEC Codes and all safety protocols.
  • Installs and builds control panels (24-480V) utilizing electrical prints.
  • Works with Digital I/O, Analog I/O, and Industrial Networking.
  • Works alongside teammates of diverse skill levels, providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Develops and fosters strong relationships with maintenance co-workers, outside contractors, and vendors.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains advanced controls such as servo, servo amplifier, and servo controllers.
  • Actively pursues and corrects problems with electrical components and systems throughout the facility and grounds.
