About The Position

This team member is responsible for electrical support for the Mooresville, NC site. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. With limited electrical support in-house, this position plays a key role for the team in troubleshooting more advanced electrical problems or installations.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical), understanding of welding and fabrication
  • Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities
  • Must have knowledge of PLC and PC controls
  • Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively
  • The ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
  • Must be able to arrive at work on time and consistently to have long term success in the role

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year Electro-Mechanical technical degree preferred
  • Prefer experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron systems
  • Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness of all safety policies and procedures for the job
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
  • Remain aware of surroundings and obtain knowledge of all required PPE for the job
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Report any safety concern, risk, hazard, near miss, or injury immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift
  • Ensure each task is done safely report any suggestions or improvements to your manager
  • Follow all guidelines for GMP
  • Report any concerns of building or equipment failures that may lead to quality defects of product
  • Support timely resolution of any building or equipment failures
  • Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs/maintain all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming process including blenders, crystallizers, dryers, extruders, formers, trim presses, conveyors, and grinders
  • Troubleshoots AC and DC drives and motors; PC and PLC controlled systems; heaters, thermocouples, and heat controllers; safety circuits
  • Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades
  • Uses Maintenance Connection to record and close work orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy
  • Follows all Company established rules and policies
  • Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
