About The Position
The Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician works hands-on with CNC machines, PLC systems, and industrial electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing equipment to restore production and reduce downtime. The position is based in Pekin, Illinois, pays $35–$45 per hour plus overtime, and is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of industrial electrical experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with 480V systems.
- Experience reading schematics and prints.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments.
Nice To Haves
- PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley or similar systems.
- CNC or machine tool experience.
- Journeyman license or electrical training/apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase.
- Diagnose and fix PLC issues, primarily involving Allen-Bradley systems.
- Work on CNC machines and machine tool systems.
- Repair motors, VFDs, control panels, and components.
- Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvements.
- Respond to breakdowns and restore machines to operation quickly.
