About The Position

Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI), a contract machining and metal finishing specialist in Whitsett, North Carolina, is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to join its Maintenance Team and service mechanical operations throughout the facility. The technician responds to electrical repair and breakdown requests, performs routine maintenance, and upgrades equipment as needed. The role requires troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and making adjustments or repairs. A background in CNC machining and electrical knowledge related to CNC equipment are described as ideal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid electrician license in good standing.
• At least 3 years of experience working as an electrical technician.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and necessary equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with manual and power tools.
• Familiarity with code requirements and company safety regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and make adjustments or repairs.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology preferred.
• Background in CNC machining and electrical knowledge related to CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to service requests and troubleshoot and repair electrical systems efficiently.
• Communicate estimated repair timelines to affected people.
• Test and assess new systems and repairs to ensure quality.
• Assemble and install electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment.
• Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a regular schedule.
• Use and store equipment properly.
