Help keep the City's Water Filtration Plant operating safely and reliably by maintaining, troubleshooting and improving industrial electrical and automated control systems. Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical school training with at least three years of related experience, or five years of industrial electrical or controls experience
  • Allen County Journeyman Electrician License, or five years of documented experience working with industrial PLCs and electrical systems
  • Valid Indiana driver's license
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team in a safety-focused environment
  • PLC and SCADA programming and troubleshooting
  • Variable frequency drives, telemetry and instrumentation
  • Industrial electrical controls and automated systems
  • Low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
  • National Electrical Code and workplace safety practices
  • Fiber-optic and process-control networks

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Additional electrical, instrumentation or automation certifications

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, program, calibrate and repair PLCs, SCADA systems, VFDs, telemetry, instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Install, modify and maintain electrical circuits, control panels, automated systems and related equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on low- and medium-voltage systems
  • Support capital improvement projects, system upgrades, planning and equipment recommendations
  • Maintain fiber-optic and process-control networks and respond to emergency or on-call needs as required
