About The Position

The Industrial Electrical will install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to support safe, efficient, and effective equipment operation. The Industrial Electrician will also perform routine preventative maintenance to help ensure continued reliability and compliance with applicable safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified and licensed Industrial Electrician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Electrician experience required; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety policies, housekeeping rules, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, equipment, and related components.
  • Design, build, bench test, and install electrical panels.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, schematics, manuals, and related documentation to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components using appropriate test equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and complete required paperwork.
  • Train or assist other workers and apprentices with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with the Electrical Safety Authority to arrange annual inspections and inspections of installed equipment.
  • Maintain the online Electrical Safety Authority logbook.
  • Perform other electrical projects and related duties as assigned.
